Some of the teen girls were hysterical and Rob rushed across the road. As he did so, a taxi grazed him. The cabbie slammed on his brakes as soon as he realized what had happened.
It appeared as if the cab hit Rob in the hip. He stood there for a moment looking stunned. The bodyguard next to him checked if he was okay and then screamed at the fans: “You see what you did, you almost killed him!”
[Robert Pattinson] was not hurt.
To the Robert Pattinson New York Bodyguards & Security Detail I’m sorry, gentlemen, this incident is totally unacceptable. No crowd control, not keeping your client within safety’s reach, not making sure the path is secure for your client, and then throwing the blame on the fans is VERY unprofessional. The fans are out of control because you have not provided the necessary restrictions that they will be forced to follow and respect.
To Summit Entertainment Summit Entertainment, clearly, the security detail you have provided for your next bankable star is inadequate, to say the least. You have to renegotiate your security plans with the team and work it out with the local authorities of New York.

I’m disturbed to learn from bauergriffinonline.com that Robert Pattinson “continued filming Remember Me after the [cab] incident.”
And now, Entertainment Tonight is reporting that a “rep for Summit Entertainment tells ET that the actor is doing fine after the incident and production continues on his movie.”
Earlier, RadarOnline.com wrote in its exclusive report that “it appeared as if the cab hit Rob in the hip.”
I would just like to point out that some injuries do not manifest themselves immediately. I am not a doctor, but, for safety’s sake, I think he should have been brought to the hospital.
When Angelina Jolie was injured on the Salt set in New York, she was escorted to the hospital immediately and then released to resume shooting. The official statement was:
“This morning while filming an action sequence… Angelina Jolie sustained a minor injury. As a precautionary measure, Ms. Jolie will be taken to the hospital and examined. Production on the film has resumed.”
I’m a bit apprehensive with the fact that the Summit statement does not have the sentence, “As a precautionary measure, Mr. Pattinson was taken to the hospital and examined, before being released to resume shooting on his film.”

Schreck für Millionen von Robert-Pattinson-Fans: Der umschwärmte Schauspieler wurde in New York von einem Taxi angefahren.
Rob hält sich derzeit im Big Apple auf, um den Film "Remember Me" zu drehen, und steht dabei ständig unter Beobachtung. Doch der schüchterne Schönling ist kein großer Fan von Massenaufläufen. Als eine immer größer werdende Gruppe von Fans auf ihn zukam, flüchtete er kurzerhand und rannte über die Straße.
Dabei sprang der 23-Jährige mitten vor ein Taxi. Der Fahrer trat zwar auf die Bremsen, doch der junge Brite wurde dennoch an der Hüfte getroffen. Zum Glück trug Robert kaum Verletzungen davon und konnte ohne Hilfe wieder aufstehen.
Der "Twilight"-Star zieht inzwischen ganze Horden von Fans an. Ein Augenzeuge erzählte in "People": "Da ist ständig etwas los mit all den Leuten, die die ganze Zeit versuchen, einen Blick auf ihn zu erhaschen. Die Masse flippt aus, wenn sie ihn erspäht." Inzwischen hat Robert seine eigenen Bodyguards, um ihn vor seinen hysterischen Verfolgern zu beschützen. Trotzdem heißt es, er würde sich insgeheim über die Aufmerksamkeit freuen: "Ich denke, er findet es ein wenig seltsam, dass die Leute den ganzen Tag dort rumstehen, nur um ihn zu sehen, aber er ist wohl auch dankar dafür", so ein Augenzeuge vom Set.

Aua, das sieht böse aus! Auf diesem Foto lässt sich deutlich ein großer Kratzer im sonst so makellosen Gesicht von "Twilight“-Beau Robert Pattinson erkennen. Wurde der Schauspieler etwa Opfer einer gewalttätigen Fan-Attacke?
Der 23-Jährige, der zur Zeit seinen neuen Film "Remember Me" in New York dreht, weiß sich vor lauter aufdringlichen Fans kaum noch zu helfen. Als die ihren großen Schwarm am Mittwochnachmittag beim gemütlichen Stadtbummel entdeckten, gab es kein Halten mehr auf den Straßen des Big Apple. Sofort bildete sich eine laute Menschentraube um den scheuen Schauspieler. Kreischende Mädchen zückten ihre Handykameras und hinderten ihren Star am Weitergehen.
Robs Bodyguards mussten eingreifen und verhinderten so Schlimmeres. Dennoch: Auf entspanntes Sightseeing wird Rob vorläufig verzichten müssen. Das Straßenpflaster ist einfach zu gefährlich für ihn geworden!
